Make a conversion chart on the back of a business card. You can hold this in your hand while you are shopping and glance at it to see how much things are in Aussie dollars (or cents). If you put amounts varying from small to large you can use it until you get used to the currency. Either use a calculator to work it out, or use an onlkine currency converter.
