Hi All,
This has put a smile on my face for most of today so thought I might share it with you.
My 10yr old son and I are heading to Bali in 2 weeks time.
Husband staying at home.
We have been given 10kg extra luggage allowance from Garuda as we have lots of donations and gifts to take over with us, so as you can imagine we will have a few heavy bags.
We are staying at KP the first week and am sort of dreading the ongoing roadworks issue, but am sure we will manage just fine.
Last night we received an sms from our Balinese friend Made who said he would like to pick us up from the airport.
I text him back saying thankyou but its ok we will just get a taxi.
His reply was no way, he will be there to meet us!
I messaged again saying that we had alot of luggage and we didn't want him to take too much time off work, he might be stuck in traffic for a LONG time. Adding also that he has Motorbike only.
Again he replies- I be there, don't worry, be happy and have a good night.
Today my best friend reminds me that in Bali you can get a huge load onto a motorbike and many people also!
So if you see such an amazing sight in 2 weeks it will be us!
Small Balinese man, Aussie woman, 10yr old boy and 3 suitcases,
2 hand luggage,duty free bag and 1 handbag all on 1 motorbike.
God help us and watch out!
