I had the grand tour of the Ubud Village Resort last year. It is certainly gorgeous. Only saw one villa because they were full. Has private garden and plunge pool and a couple of different places to sit outside. The grounds are just huge.
I met the owner & he said they were having 'soft opening' and were giving very good rates. I don't know if that still applies, but you could try.
