Flight - Left Perth on Qantas Flight 1.40pm 6th March (booked last July on Frequent Flyer Points. Left on time arriving in Bali at 4pm. Food and staff were excellent plenty on Champers and Red Wine. As we were seated in Row 6 we were one of the first off the plane and straight thru VOA. Our bags were unfortunately one of the last to come off the plane and all 3 had the dreaded white chalk crosses. They had spotted our Water casks and Pepsi Max. Opened one of the bags to show what we had and were then waved thru.
Caught Taxi out front 45,000 to our accommodation.

Accommodation - KUTA TOWNHOUSES between Poppies 1 and 2. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, lounge/living area and Kitchen/Dining area with full size fridge and all kitchen equipment including microwave. Out of the 15 apartments' approx only 4 at any one time were being used. The staff were excellent - breakfast (choice of continental or Nasi or Mie Goreng with Juice and coffee) was included in the price (we paid 550,000 per night). The swimming pool was clean and refreshing with tables, chairs and sunlounges around the grassed area. Meals at the hotel were very reasonable and we could have our own drinks out by the pool if we wanted too.

Weather - Rained quite heavily on the day we arrived and after that we only had overnight heavy rain with a couple of brief showers on a few of the other days.

Exchange Rate: Our first day rate was 7050 and by the time we left had steadily risen to 7220.

FOOD -We ate at a different restaurant each night - one that is very close to Kuta Townhouses was Basil Leaves which was excellent value with most meals around the 15,000rp mark.
We had breakfast at LaLucillios (? Spelling) which cost approx A$25 per couple. Also ate at Fat Yogis, Secret Garden, and many little cafes along backpackers Lane off Poppies 2. There was only 1 meal out of our whole trip that was shocking and that was at Warung Indonesia on our laneway.

Massages - One of the best and cheapest massages we had was at a little Salon called Happy Salon along our laneway towards Poppies 2 - 45,000rp for 1 hour. The worst massage we had was at Salon Babi (which used to be my favourite). We had the Hot Stone Massage at the Green Garden Spa resort 135,000rp for 90 mins. In Poppies 2 (opposite Pub Bagus) we had reflexology at Ondel Ondel 40,000 for 30mins (we frequented this place about every 2nd Night).

To Be Continued - My Treatment at the ARC Clinic, Pacung Indah and the Ghost Hotel, Shopping etc
