I'm booked on Jetstar at 6am to Sydney (7.30am)to catch the 10am Garuda to Bali. It's tight but no overnight needed in Syd. I reckon.
Flying to Singapore is a very long way to get to Bali and my trip is $1023 with 4 days accom included (balionanybudget.com.au)
