I was on the Bali Garden Hotel website and clicked on the bit that said "whats new". This article was there about Garuda. Dated November LAST YEAR!!!!!!!
Anyone have any clues? Obviously Garuda dont!
Indonesian carrier Garuda has had a rethink on network services from Australia to Bali and decided to maintain scheduled flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane direct to Bali.
The airline's president director, Emirsyah Satar, said the operation of Jakarta as a single hub had been one option under consideration but that Garuda Indonesia would not stop international flights to Bali. However, the airline's efficiency and the requirement to maximize profitability was an ongoing priority.
Emir reconfirmed Garuda's commitment to the promotion of tourism in Indonesia, including Bali, saying in 2006, Garuda committed in excess of 1.1 million seats to international flights into Bali, or around 30 per cent of total passengers.
Planning for the Australian winter schedules is still underway. Suranto Yitnopawiro, regional manager Southwest Pacific for Garuda Indonesia, said final schedules would be dictated by market demand, route profitability and the availability of suitable aircraft.
