On my last trip my passport wasn't stamped upon arrival. I wasn't aware that it had happened until I leaving and it was discovered at immigration. I wasn't charged a fine, however I was warned to be more careful. I could have easily stayed in Bali over my 60 days (I had a social visa)I've been to Bali many times, this was the first time anything like this has happened.
I don't think you will be charged a fine...but it is quite apparent that immigration isn't focused on the task at hand...it looks like we all need to be more aware when arriving as we have no idea what the consequences of their mistakes might be to us..
