re flights out of brisbane

I was wondering whats the best way to get to bali from brissy. I can get a really cheap deal through flight centre but have to fly to Kualar Lumpar first and then bali, 8 hour trip then 3 hours to bali, wondering if it makes sense to pay a little extra and just go from sydney, love it if anyone can help me
