pain meds with codeine. There isn't a problem. I always have Panadiene Forte for migrane headaches with me when I travel. They contain 30mg of codeine [on prescription]. Pack in your luggage along with any other first aid type medication you may take.
If you have prescription medicines with you and you are concerned, then carry a letter from your doctor.
If your concerns are about products you can purchase OTC here in Australia in a pharmacy or supermarket dont be. It is unwarranted.
Also, the legal limit for alcohol is 1 litre per adult and 200 cigarettes. They dont worry about you taking in the 1.25L bottle or a carton of cigs which I think from memory has 250 ??? No pornographic magazines, films, photos etc. You can take in food items such as cheese, chocolate, chips, dips etc. I have even taken in a store mannequin for a friends clothing shop. I had stuck a picture of it on the front of the box so when the customs guys asked I pointed, they laughed and I was on my way. cheers :-)
