Thank's everyone for your replies. This time my visit to Bali was about a visit to the school and relaxation. At the age of 65 I decided it was time to retire from teaching and visit Bali out of school holidays. I have a son who lives in Noosa (Queensland) and that is a wonderful place but I still look at Bali as my 2nd home. Thankfully my son loves Bali and he understands what I say. He is about to go to Bali once again with his wife and 3 year old daughter.
This time I revisited restaurants such as Warung 96,($7.00 for 2 curries and rice and a large Bintang) Enhay and the restaurant opposite( can't think of the name)and Munching Inn, all very reasonable and good. These places are in the lane between Adi Dharma Cottages and the AD Hotel.
Also went to two of my favourites Kori and Poppies.(excellent)
It has become a bit of a tradition to have lunch on the last day at Gado Gado. Wasn't sure what my friend would think but she really enjoyed the meal and the setting.
Have just sent an e-mail to a friend in China who wants to spend a few days in Bali and wonders if it is safe!!! Have sent him some information saying GO. It's as safe as crossing or driving on our roads.
