yes, must agree. One experience I encounted was when a money changer was busy trying to under pay me by 70,000 Rp. The money changer mistakenly gave me 2 piles of 1,000,000 Rp. instead of 2 piles of 500,000 Rp. Which gave me an additional 1,000,000 Rp.
As we were more attentive to the 70,000 Rp. rip off, we didn't notice the million error untill we were elese where.
The Money changer place was known for the type sting that they performed and I went there to see for myself that they actually did try to do it!.
So my thoughts were to then return the money..being an honest person myself I could not keep it and feel good about myself ever again!
Every one else that was with me on that tripped pointed out that if I did return the money, the money changer had still win for that day
as they were attempting to rip of each person who came to them and it would only take 15 times to get their 1,000,000 in a day.
So, I couldn't keep it and I couldn't give it back, So solution! many locals recieved 1,000,000 Rp. more in tips amongst them, above what I would normally tip for a trip to Bali.
This adds to what you are talking about and I do agree with you Happily. We are not out to win from them, we are contributing to the economy in all ways possible..whatever we are doing.
A personal question. Each time I have been to KTH there have been several bald heads sitting about, so i QUESS you are one of them?
