Immodium will help with general upset tummy stuff, like if you eat something that disagrees with you. The bacterial "belly" ailments won't be cured by Immodium and in fact, Immodium might counteract any anti-boitics that you might need to take for the bacterial stuff. I was given Cipro for "bali-belly" and told to take Immodium, or Pepto for other tummy troubles.
