on ninemsn homepage and was broadcast on the radio about 10 minutes ago here in Sydney. The Garuda plane had Australian embassy staff and an Australian journalists and embassy staff from Jakarta. The plane is burnt. Just listening to the news now there are 15 confirmed dead. The plane left Jakarta at 6.ooam and it is believed that they were following Alexeander Downer for an important meeting. There is footage broadcast on CNN now. Apparently most of the passengers have been evacuated thankfully. The plane over-shot the run-way and caused the pilot to break heavily.
