Glad to help out re: Tjampuhan. Last April went to look at the Tegal Sari whilst once again staying at Tjampuhan, it looks great and with so many recommendations obviously a great place to stay! However I have opted for the Tjampuhan once again for our visit this April. I just love it. I cannot give you an exact cost per night as I have booked a package deal from Perth which also includes some nights at Katika Plaza. However they are very accommodating, we have requested same rooms as last year, they are also providing me with special provisions for 50th birthday! The spa grotto has to be seen to be believed, every morning is filled with fresh hibiscus flowers. A pleasant 10 minute walk to centre of town, with free shuttle to anywhere in Ubud, will also pick you up afterwards. They have a track through the temple on other side of river which is a beautiful 1-2 hour walk, through the rice paddies and a village before coming back to main road in Ubud (you do a loop). The fan cooled rooms are AGUNG and the air con rooms are RAJA. There are 2 spring water pools in different areas of the grounds. ALso as other people have previously mentioned their website does NOT do the place justice, go and look for yourself! However probably not suitable for elderly folk or kids because of steps. Contact email is:
