Yes it is a great night out,especially on a tuesday night,which is where i spend just about every tuesday night that i am in bali and have done so for a number of years now,and taken a quite a number of bali newbies with me.
Taxi fare from kuta/legion would be about rp 40,000-rp 45,000 each way,well worth it for a good night out.
