On our last visit we bought several silk sarongs from shops in Ubud. The best ones were from Lingghi Ningh Beauty Salon on Jl Raya opposite side to Tjampuhan Hotel and a bit further up the hill. Price was very negotiable so try to bargain hard - down from Rp200 000 to about Rp75 000 depending on amount of work in the patterns. They are really lovely sarongs. There are some antique silk sarongs in a couple of antique type shops on Monkey Forest Rd opposite side to markets and down a little. They are usually much more expensive and not as negotiable but you must insist on a good "discount".
