You line up for a visa first - $25 USD for a 30 day visa. It is quicker to pay in cash in USD I have found.
Next is immigration, where they stamp your passport. You must stay behind the line until called. There is a desk immediatly after the immigration one where you hand over your passport & immigration card.
Then you have to put your hand luggage through the xray machine.
After this, you can go to the luggage carousel & wait for your luggage. Porters will try to 'help' you with your luggage for a fee. Just say no if you can manage on your own. If your bag has chalk marks on it, you will be asked to open it for inspection (as I had to) at customs. You hand in your customs declaration here. Just outside the door you will find all the transport drivers - if you have booked transfers someone from your hotel will be waving a card with your name on it.
If not, the taxi booking office is to your right as you exit the building.
Have a great trip.
