I am not a huge shopper as we stay in Ubud and go for the peace and quiet not the bargain prices but at Christmas time I found several shops on both sides of the road between Legian Street and Kuta Square shopping centre. I only bought at places that offered 50% discount. They are usually prices at Rp650 000. Also there was another place I found very late in our stay on Legian St that offered 50% discount on wallets too so I bought seven or eight Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Guess etc wallets in different styles and colours that were a great hit with all the female members of the family. They were around Rp70 000. The shop ( sorry to be vague but I just came across it accidently) was on the left hand side heading towards Kuta Square (not the beach side) past Surfer Girl but before the round about at the end (where you turn right to find the previous shops I mentioned).
