Flew last Oct, economy class - business class was few rows at front, separated by curtain, large seats, personal screnns etc - looked ok. Airline was great, excellent service, food good and personal screens on way back to Oz. No alcohol served as strict Muslin airline,as is Brunei although I guess you could drink your own if you wanted, but we didin't bother and didn't miss it.
Spent 12 hours in Brunei, city centre was interesting - not big. Shopping was ok. Non-muslim visitors can take their own alcohol into the kingdom - limits were quite generous from memory.
Going to Kota Kinabalu again this Sept and will choose RB over Malaysian Air becuase price difference is quite significant and only difference being no alcohol is served and flight is "blessed" by Allah before each take off. No alcohol was not a problem, and being a nervous flyer, the flight blessing was quite welcome.
Cheers,
Carol.
