it seems the guy I spoke to did not know what he was talking about!!
The very helpful guy today traced the memo from my converstation yesterday and it did say the length limit had changed but this info was incorrect. What an idiot. It is being followed up as I type and I will be lodging a formal complaint in writing.
So sorry to all that I misinformed you.
