roaming is expensive which i am assuming is what you had with optus because it costs you lots to receive and send!. i bought a Pro XL sim card from a shop in the disovery centre on the second floor street side. i messaged internally (bali sim to bali sim) for 10 days on 10 dollars. and it costs me 30 cents to send a message from perth to bali. so it should be the same vice versa but dont quote me on that.... hope that helps. also the staff that sell you the sim card will set up everything on your mobile for you which is really good because most of us dont understand indonesian!
