Attend a dance at the palace at night - tickets sold on street each day - they really appreciate a customer!
Eat (or drink) at Lotus Cafe to see the fantastic gardens.
Visit an Artist's village and see how they use the "apprentice" system also Egg Painting and Stone Carving villages.
Go to spa at Tjampuhan and have a massage on the rocks of the river (with a friend of you want).
Use a local driver and ask him to take you to his village - or to see a ceremony at a temple (mostly it is okay to take photos but just check before you do!).
Suggest you ring Putu Putra 081 2366 5584 who is based in Ubud and has a new car. He is very friendly and can also arrange less cultural outings such as white water rafting, visit to Elephant Park etc etc Two days is not enough!!! But a great start anyway!
