West Bali is a great part of the island. Beautiful scenery all the way up the coast,wondeful surfing area, view of mountain ranges and the island of Java great national park and very few tourists so it is very much the natural Bali.The very large city of Negara is worth a visit as is Gilimanuk where you can catch the ferry over to Java and back which takes about 3/4 hour each way and costs arond 15000rp.
Between Negara and Melaya there are the Church of England and the Catholic villages about 3km apart both with beautiful Balinese style churches.
