We always take heaps of stationary, pens, pencils, colouring books etc up for the children we know, which they love as their parents can't afford to buy much of that sort of thing for them to take to school.
My daughters always sort out clothes as well for us to take, we usually take a suitcase full.
Then while we are there we always take our main family to the supermarket, where they reluctantly fill a couple of trolleys with essentials bags of rice, toiletries and many other things, we also give them money when we leave.
We have been doing twice a year for the past eight years, we are also in email contact with them while we are not there, which is great as they tell us all of their news.
