What I'm saying is that there is more chance of locating higher quality and kiln dried furniture in Java. I also mentioned that you had to do your homework before you go (and once you get there)as there is still rubbish to be found throughout Java too.
However, Java (Jakarta) has the only annual furniture expo in Indonesia where all major manufacturers and exporters show their wares on a world stage. You don't see too many (if any) Balinese manufacturers exhibiting.

Yes, I agree, there are some good manufacturers in Bali for Hyacinth etc Tehnik Rottan Jaya at Kerobokan comes to mind, but wouldn't normally touch teak product from Bali personally.

As most most manufacturers in Java will deliver FOB (free) to Bali I'd definitely make the trip if I was furnishing a house or villa there, but that is my personal choice.

By the way Trisha, you may not know 'Damaii' but you do know us ...Bali Living. Hope all is going well for you.
