Well what can i say another wonderful trip tho the land of the gods departed Perth Sat 20th Jan for 2 big weeks also took my daughter as a 21st birthday present flew with Qantas and very good i must add arrived in Bali about 515 in the arvo just in time for happy hour through customs with ease no problems at all, all intentions of staying at the Garden View in Legian booked in dropped of our gear and had the first of many Binnies first night dinned at Gory's nothing has changed food still fantastic and the cocktails are the best plus they drive you home in there bus the next day out and about early daughter is a shopperholic so lots of walking occured but when the throat gets a bit dry to the Bagus you must fly the beer was cold as normal and the Nasi to die for the cricket was on but not at the Bagug so i was told to go around the corner to Kuta Appartments between Poppies 1 and 2 well what a nice shock that was new and appealing 2 bedroom 2 bathroom aprtments with the works just what i required with the daughter and at a very reasonable rate so i booked in for the remaining 12 nights and its not that far from Suets bar in front of Inna Kuta Beach a great place for a cold beer a chat and watch the sun set having done lots of the tourist stuff in other trips it was all about relaxation lots of massages on the beach or in the many massage salons that have now popped up i thought it was the rainy season but after 2 days of rain the weather became very hot talk about swet lucky the beer is good to replace it We went water rafting at a cost of 32 bucks cheap at half the price what a good time we had that was till the end and you face those dreaded steps up the side of the mountain thats what happens when you get sucked in by a pretty face no sir no steps on our rafting talk about stuffed i had about 5 stops cursing all the way We went on the Foo-kin Pub Crawl what a funny night Rick from Geelong and his offsider Nemo did A great job highly recommended to all 5 hours of mayhem. There wasnt a huge amount of tourist in Bali but it wasnt that slow either A fai few japenees there the hawkers i found were a bit more pushy this time i found myself not going in as hard as i did on previous trips and i think i tipped just about any one that i was giving money to Duty free at the airport in Bali was cheaper than in Perth so it was a small stock up for the bar we ate at all the old but good places that ive tried many times Dolphins (tom yum goon soup the best) in Garlic lane across the road from the DVD king DEE-DEE at Gongs the Indo International beautiful cold beer and chilli prawns Glorys as i mentioned before for their ribbs Mummas for their pork knuckle i think they get bigger every year Kuta Appartments for a good snitzzle with mash potato and gravey good tucker the place where the water is fanned out in a mist by Matahari's noodles i crave for just a great time we had so many places to eat and drink looking forward on planning my next trip there in the not too distant future i hope cheers Crowman
