My family did a cycling tour with kids almost the same age as yours last year. We did it with a company called Bali Budaya Tours, also known as Bali Eco. They go up to the volcano for breakfast and then ride back to Ubud. The route was stunning and we had ample water and fruit stops before lunch. They stop to explain the culture and after lunch they visit aBalinese family and visit the monkey forest if you want. They had 2 bike seats for toddlers/small kids and small bikes for the kids. Would thoroughly recommend the tour, it was amazing!! The staff were excellent. We had Darma as guide and Winston helped look after the kids. According to Darma, the company is owned by an aussie guy , his Balinese wife and her family. He and his wife started the eco and educational tours. They had western standards of safety and hygeine (needed and expected with the kids). Apparently, they have been operating for nearly 10 years and are recommended in all the guide books. They were recommended by friends who have been there often. Darma did say that there were lots of copy cat 'company's trying to emulate Bali Eco and 'bikebaik' was one of them. Apparently, the owner once worked for Bali Eco, but was sacked for trying to rip off tourists. I would thoroughly recommend the tour: the roads were safe and with little traffic, our guides were excellent, the food delicious and we all learnt about the Balinese culture. If you can, I would recommend you use Darma and Winston was great with the kids. They have a large mini bus that follows the riders and when our son was feeling hot he hopped in the van. You can contact them on bulanindah@dps.centrin.net.id They also have a website if you look for Bali Budaya Tours. We e-mailed our booking and they gave us a small discount. Can't recommmend them highly enough.
