sitting through a timeshare presentation. The presenter isn't a magician, you have the right to say "Thanks, but no thanks"! I have spent much of my working life in sales and sales management situations and recognise the tactics concerning what the presenter is saying and doing and why. I tell the presenter this fairly early on in the presentation and it puts us on an even footing, in fact the presenter often finds it amusing, obviously with no hard feelings, even though he/she will realise that it seriously lessens the chances of a sale.
The Shangrila is a classy small hotel on a nice white sand beach, unusual for Candi Dasa. Just a few minutes pleasant walk down a narrow sealed road, from the north end of Candi Dasa main street. I've never stayed there myself, but some of my friends have and they have been impressed. I was invited to a birthday party there a few years ago and had a great time. Altogether, a very pleasant part of Bali, for those who appreciate a few days somewhere quieter
than the usual tourist hotspots.
