we had same thing happen to us in Sept. The girl at the desk gave me a huge roasting about not making it in time for connection flight. Told us she would just have to put us on a plane to Melb and then on to Adel, I stood my ground and said Id just wait for a direct flight next day. Well surprise, surprise 10 mins later while we were still in terminal struggling with luggage and trying to work out where to stay a rep from Qantas came up to us and apologised and said they would pay for our nights accommodation, meals etc. They put us up in a 5 star hotel at the casino resort, nice work Qantas. They offer flights with less than 2 hours connection on their website all the time and then roast u when u dont make it! Im going to give it another try this sept via Perth from Adel but think I will leave a lot longer between international and domestic flight.
