I only exchange in lots of $100AD so I can convert quickly
ie exchange is 6865 I just have to add 2 0's and bingo I know i must get 686,500rp I count 680,000 first and worry about the 6,500 ($1 aprox)last. If I want $200 changed I do the transaction twice putting the first lot away before I request a second transaction. I don't chase a great exchange rate as I am sure they are often the ones who "tax" you.
