We stayed in a Kiddies Suite in 2005 and it IS a much smaller room than the Family room but we liked it. The bunks are in a separate area behind a wall but my girls loved it and they had their own tv, dvd & playstation. I found the bathroom quite small, but after a few days we settled in and most of the time we were only in the room to sleep or watch a dvd, etc.. There is another tv for the adults and it's also got a balcony with table and chairs. We liked it because the kids were somewhat separate from us - just nice to have a little bit of privacy! We are going again in October and I actually suggested to my husband that we get a bigger room for a change but he was happy to get a kiddies suite again. Our room was a short walk to the pool and breakfast. Oh, and the breakfast you asked about is a huge selection of everything! You name it, they have it! We loved breakfast time (coffee is great) and it's included in our package. It's a beautiful hotel and like someone else mentioned if you're not happy with the room I am sure you could change rooms or upgrade (or downgrade) when you get there. We can't wait to go again.
