Hi, I love your country, have been there twice but you will notice a difference in the climate in Bali thats for sure! Don't regret staying where you are its quite nice just a bit further out but easy access by taxi or with a driver (set a deal) to anywhere. We stay at Peninsula Beach Resort right next door to Aston Bali for 1 week of our holiday and love it to kick back and relax. Are you there for the whole time? It is nicer to try a few places but seeing this is your first visit make it your base and do some day trips but take a backpack with overnight gear because if you really like a place you can always barter a good price for a room and enjoy another day there. Email me if you would like any extra info although I know this forum is a great source of great information. Have a fantastic holiday we have to wait until April but its moving along fairly quickly.
