Enquiring for a group of 10 a couple of years ago their "best possible price" was $4000 dearer than our lowest quote.
Due to one family having vouchers we needed to go through them & when shown cheaper quote they instantly lowered the price $50 for the whole booking due to their price guarantee. Service was abominable once we had paid.
Decided to give them another chance the next trip due to the close proximity to my home & she said she would get back to me with a quote by the close of business. One week later she did call & with a pretty good deal. When I explained I had booked with another agent as I hadnt heard from her, nor had she replied to any of the five messages I had left, she huffed that she had been very busy then hung up in my ear.
I understand that the staff at some of these agents are under an incredible amount of pressure to meet targets etc. but thats no excuse for rudeness or indeed trying to fleece customers of thousands of dollars.
I'm all for the small or family agent who cares & at least has the time to keep you informed.
