Nothing to do with Bali but though some Aussie's would like to know about the state of "OUR" famous airline. Have recently returned from a trip to Brisbane & then on to Hervey bay for a family wedding. Our flight out of Perth to Brisbane was delayed 5 hours due to "technical" difficulties. Our return flight from Brisbane to Perth was delayed over 2 hours due to "technical" difficulties. Our son (who flew straight into Hervey Bay) was due to leave yesterday morning on a Jetstar flight to Sydney & connected to flight to Perth. He is currently in Geelong! He was delayed 5 hours in Hervey Bay before being put on a coach to Moorachadore then plane to Sydney. Put him in hotel overnight & then plane to Geelong. He is now waiting another 7 hours for a plane to Perth! It really makes one wonder about the maintenance (or lack of) that is happening. Whilst we were waiting at Brisbane another 3 other Qantas flights were also delayed! What is happening to our famous airline!! This is the first time in many years that I have had any reason to complain about Qantas - but I feal that I have every reason to be annoyed. Our son & daughter-in-law have a 2 year old son waiting (not very patiently) for their return. Add to the complaints that our son HATES flying this has not been a good trip. He will probably never fly again.
Has anyone else had recent problems or have we just been extremely unlucky?? Would love to hear if this has just been a "once" of experience!
