I suffer from IBS anyways due to chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I have been to Bali 3 times, once since I have been sufferring these conditions. Have only had Bali belly once...it was the PITTS. The pain during the night was like someone had tied my intestines in knots and was stabbing them with a sword...I can only liken it to childbirth and I don't have kids LOL I am afraid I got to know the toilet in our room all too well from lying there for several hours too scared to leave it from the barrage at both ends! The other visits have just been the runs a little, but as I suffer that at home at the best of times it doesn't really worry me too much.
Bali Belly is very different to just ordinary diahorrea....you will DEFINATELY know if thats what you have...the pain was almost unbearable but within 24 hrs I was ok again..Take the immodium with you people...you won't be sorry you did even if you just get diahorrea.
