Do you really think that in say 3 years time, that Tiger will still have Padang as their only Indonesian destination ???
From Darwin most international aisian destinations are "short hops" for aircraft , crews and most importantly costs will reduce
Take a look at current Singapore Airlines outgoing flights & destinations, then imagine the savings in splitting these into a 2 flight, 1 ticket combination
Surely you don't think that Tiger will just be flying 5 aircraft around a domestic route in Australia and won't br expanding into new international destinations ????
I mean if they try to operate as say "Rex" airlines competing with Virgin & Jetstar in a domestic markrt, they will not make any significant impact. But surely thats not what Singapore Airlines have had in mind when trying over the last 20 years to get a piece of the Australian action.
