Well will attempt part two, despite nasty comment to my last one, Oh dear think this is maybe why i do not always do a JBR.

My husband and i first visited bali 10 yrs ago, as we had my aged mother living with us, and doc advised me to take a break, Bali being only three half hrs away thought we would go (as my children had been so many times) not too far if my mother got worse, meantime our youngest daughter & son in law offered to take care of my mother.
We went to alit's at Sanur our first time, for 10 days, and we felt like two teenagers being able to go out all day and evenings, having been tied to looking after my mother.
Well say no more! we both fell in love with bali and with the help of my daughter & son in law we managed to go to Bali every May & Nov.
Now we have no ties, all children grown up and my darling mum passed away we have no ties , and are doing what we like doing best and that is going to our beloved Bali and many, many good balinese friends.
Ok ! will get on with my JBR now, we spent 7 days at the Febris hotel, visited friends on the beach in front of the Natour, bali bagia, Uncle Norms, Legends caught up with staff, billys , Ketut, Joey, Billy and Jimmy, visited Ketut in sorja st ( fixed price) and many ore friends.
Now for the funny story (not) was walking up the st from the febris one morning, a few yards down the road was the bali ratu massage & spa ( big pink building) was a sewerage truck parked outside , in fact was parked on the kerb, so we decided despite the traffic we would have to walk past on the road, husband was walking in front, when suddenly felt a warm wet sensation! my god! hubby turned to face me and just cracked up i was covered from head to toe big brown blobs! and even on the end of my nose, when he turned around he too was covered from head to toe yuk! the two guys with the truck just cracked up, (we feeling annoyed and feeling yuk) could not help it we just cracked up laughing too, was lucky was not far back to hotel, the girls and guys on the desk at Febris just cracked up when we walked in said 'Oh what happened to you" I had white shorts and pale blue top on , hubby light coloured shorts and white t shirt can imaagine all covered in big brown blobs!we stripped and showered ( still could not stop laughing ) then threw clothes in the bath to soak. Despite using bleach, we had to throw our clothes away. When we told Paulus, the manager , he also just cracked up.
The moral of this story !! if you see a sewerage truck PLEASE cross the road , never venture past one lol!
Our next 10 days were spent in favourite Sanurrr, we always have at least 1-2 weeks there.Over the years we have stayed at so many different hotels, Alits, bumi Ayu, beshaki, sanur beach, gria santrian, and gazebo 9-10 times, but have now found great hotel, Respati and stayed 3 times last year. Small friendly and new block room where we can see the sun come up , through the window. We have soo many friends in Sanur it is rather hectic, great restaurants, great for long walks just love it.
