as someone who has also bought quite a bit over the years, it seems to me that a lot of it is about the quality of the material. The better the quality of the material the better the chance of getting it to sit right and hold its shape. I'm sure you are choosing good quality materials, but I feel it is worth getting the best you can get, and specifying that you like a slightly roomier fit. Choose the right style, or take one form here to be copied.
