hi. Seminyak Rotary have been putting toilets and washing facilities, eye testing and fixing cleft lip and palates in the 8 Amed primary schools over the last few years and I'm confused about the location of the school you went to.

The secondary school, I assume was was down the hill form Kim's hotel, turn left at the crossroad and up the valley towards Bangle, and over the ford or bridge to the right. There are actually 3 primary schools up that valley but the two right at the top have to be accessed from a road back towards Amlapura.

If you come back to the coast there is a primary school at Bunatan on the beach about 300m to the left of Kim. The next school is at Lean beach( after Lipah) on the right just before the lagoon and ford.. Continuing along the road you took there are two in the valley where the Japanese shiprweck is. One is a small school way up the valley and the next just after the ford up a short lane to the right of the road.
The last school in that district is on the beach to the left a few k's on.

The next shools are inland and elevated a bit further on and a different school district.

I would be interested to know which school it was as all have plenty of teachers, but in some of the schools only a few turn up at any one time. These are the ones that are hardest to help as the teachers have a poor leader and are not really interested in the children's education.

We are about to put in a central library to be drawn on by all the 8 schools with funding from the Mt Martha Rotary club in Melbourne.
Any donations to Rotary Seminyak to buy more books would be more than welcome.Every dollar donated goes 100% to the project as all expenses come out of our pockets.

Amed and the children are special.

(The Rangartira is still in mourning but any apportunity to tap pockets to help these really poor children must be taken.)
