The main difference is the size of the room, size of bathroom etc. I haven't stayed in the new deluxe rooms or seen in them, but from what I've heard there's almost a separate sitting room (unlike the old suites with a partitioned off room). Someone who's stayed in one might give better info.
The superior rooms are quite roomy and also have a lounge/coffee table but it's part of the one room. I stayed in one of them in late 2003 and have photos of a twin superior room. The link is below, if that helps at all.
