Yes we are finally booked and it's such a relief!!! This will be our 4th trip to Bali and last year we decided to shout both sets of our parents a trip for Christmas but although we had booked the flights from Auckland to Bali (via Brisbane) with Garuda they cancelled our booking so that left us wondering what to do! We thought we'd go with Qantas / Jetstar (since the options from NZ are pretty limited) but the quote we got was way too high plus the flight had a 10hr stopover in Melbourne making for a very long trip to Bali !! So in the end we have decided to go with Royal Brunei and have added an extra 3 days onto our holiday so this allows for the stopovers each way - so we still get our lovely Bali holiday plus get to explore somewhere new for a few days. Interestingly the flights (including a free stopover package) are cheaper than what we paid the last time we went and SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than Qantas / Jetstar. That said my advice is to get a quote as www.bali.co.nz was WAY cheaper than anyone else as was the service! (With 6 adults & 3 children their quote was $2.4K cheaper than the other!)
So we'll be arriving in Bali on 16th May and will depart on 28th May - staying in Suzanne's private apartments at the Jayakarta (have stayed here before & loved them!). Our parents are very excited about the trip and we can't wait to show them just what it is about Bali that we love so much! So who else is planning a May holiday? Last time we really enjoyed the BTF get together and hope we can maybe arrange another one?
