Some of you might remember that I was having a lot of trouble getting Asthma covered in my travel insurance because I had an attack at Xmas time that required hospitalisation. As I had been treated by a doctor in the last 12 months the Insurance companies would not look at me.
I sort advice on the forum and many of you gave advice and recommendations ,which I followed, but still ran into a brick wall, even though I was prepared to pay an extra premium.
This morning I got a call from CommInsure and because I now have the Asthma under control and now know how to treat the symptons they have agreed to cover me for an extra $100 above the normal insurance costs.
I can now go to Bali with a degree of confidence knowing that I am covered.
I must point out that I am 57 and this was my first ever Asthma attack and it took me a while to understand how to treat the symptoms
and use my medication properly.
So thanks to all those people who gave advice especially Chris for her advice and Dennisc (who recommended CommInsure)and I hope this post can be of assistance to somebody else.
