Good glass beads are hard to find. I did find some lampworked beads but they were pretty garish and I didn't buy any. They were on Jl Legian just a little way south of Jl Melasti corner - pretty much opposite Legian Paradiso hotel. There's a supermarket back on the block and at the front right near the road is a little shop chock full of strung glass beads. But as I said, I left empty handed as I thought they were pretty ugly.
For spacers, is she looking at Bali silver (925)? Last time I got mine from Bujangga Silvers on Jl Raya Tuban. Paid about Rp3000/gram in 2003, which is pretty cheap. I got strands of different sized spacers and beads. Also got some pendants. They didn't really have anything in the way of findings though, clasps, earring hooks etc.
Toko Central are great for seed beads and plastic beads, but didn't have any glass when I checked in there.
I found a few places selling strands of gemstone chips, but I didn't buy any as I could get them cheaper buying mail order from Aussie suppliers (buying in bulk of 10 strands or more).
I got wood and coco beads from a stall in Garlic lane. Was just one of the shops full of necklaces etc. They had bags of beads along the walls on the floor.
