if he is using his Australian mobile no you call the number just as you would in Australia, if he has roaming switched on it will connect, and it will cost him a lot of money for the call.
If he has an indonesian sim card you call 0011 62 then the mobile number he has but drop the first zero.
To text an indo sim card you dial +62 then the number minus the zero
