There are two things that new tattoos hate...and that's sun and infection...swimming in your hotel pool where nearly everyone uses as a toilet can't be good for you no matter how much chlorine they pour into it. Sun on a new tattoo will breakdown the lighter colours, red, yellow, white etc, and if you get it sunburnt then you might have to get the tattoo re coloured back home. Food for thought.
