- but you'll want to stop so it will take longer than retrurning the same way as you go through Bedugul. Munduk Falls are much nicer than Git Git, coffee at Ngiring Ngewedang on top of a bit of a cliff on a sharp left hand corner after Munduk (the whole coffee experience in beautiful surroundings), the twin lakes (there are actually three, the small one in the middle is often a beautiful turquoise colour), through Bedugul again (stop at the real locals market at Baturiti), turn left off the main road and go through the rice fields of Jatiluwih (perhaps the best in all of Bali). then on to Marga and the Ngurah Rai memorial and museum at Margarana.
Depending on your time you could go through Tabanan (often refered to as the food basket of Bali) and visit the Subak (irrigation) museum. Different and amazing. Would you believe that the old farmers got not only rice from their fields but their protien needs too?
Again depending on time, the Water Palace at Mengwi is a unique and special place as far as temples go, and Kokorda's Palace with its spectacular Kulkul (warning drum) tower.
