Pretty certain it's direct..takes about 6 hours I reckon. Certainly no more flying time when you add an hour each way for the domestic connection, plus all the time you burn up having to be at the airport beforehand to make your domestic flight. And then there's all that baggage double handling (unless you fly jetstar) - both ways! Do you think our local airlines will be as liberal with all the kites, additional bags and 15 kilos of overweight. maybe...maybe not!And then there's all that time you hang around making the return domestic home...not really something to look forward to after having flown all night from Bali. Apart from all that, there is no guarantee you'll be able to get rock-bottom domestic prices either. Don't be seduced by headlines offering $59 tickets...remember, you now have to dovetail into an international connection and that's likely to reduce your options a bit. Finally...do we really want to start and end our holidays with all that additional stuff? not me! I'm in it for the fun...not the challenge of becoming a one-man logistics manager. Sad to say it after all these years of flying with the big indo bird...but, looks like it's Selamat jalan Garuda and selamt pagi Singapore Air!
