We took our 9mnth son for our first visit to bali.

Getting Around
Spent first day with him in a carry pouch - not a good idea as the sweat build up is rediculuous and it makes it uncomfortable for baby as well. Went to Mataharis and bought a stroller - worked out cheaper if we had bought one here in Target and then took it with us. We will do that next time (he will be 3 but likely to tire easily).

Washing In Bath/Shower
Took over a pack of Huggies(I think) disposable wash clothes. they foam up with a little water. We used bottled water. Then rinsed off under normal shower using the hand held. Very easy and no sickness had by the kids. Otherwise basic baths in the hand basin with bottled water works just as well. If unsure if the hotel has hand helds in the showers, take over a plastic one that connects to the tap spout. It just gives you more control.

Bottles & Food
Took over powdered formula and used boiled bottled water to make milk. Food was baby food tins and these you can get over there. We took some anyway. He preferred to eat bits of egg and toast with us at breakfast from the restaurant.

Drinks during the day
Just bought bottled water throughout the day. Took plastic container with measured out formula compartments for making milk on the go. This time we are going over with a "Camel pack". It is a back pack that contains whatever drink you put in it and there is a long plastic sipper straw connected. Fairly low profile back pack.

Overall
Just enjoy. The more obsessive you get the more frustrated a trip can become. We never found our boy too hard to cope with over there. In fact he even answered to the call of "hey boy boy" or "little boss"! Everyone loves kids over there and it is a fantastic place for a family holiday.

Have a great trip.
