We have been to Bubba Gumps on several occasions9 the most recent march 2006) and have always ahd an enjoyable time there and the food has been really good.
My 2 children have had their birthdays in bali on several occasions and we always let them choose where they want to go. Last year my nine year old chose daddys restaurant for pancakes for breakfast ( across the road from the dynasty, lunch at the hard rock cafe ( they get colouring in etc and good kids meals but not as cheap as others) and the green garden for tea as they have karaoke and entertainment and sang happy birthday to her.
Maybe spend the day at the hard rock pool(rent a cabana and the kids can swim and use the water slide and sand island)get your lunch delivered to the cabana and then do tea afterwards at the cafe. Our kids love doing that and it makes it an all day party celebration.
Another good restaurant for the kids is planet hollywood at bali galleria, the kids spend the time looking at all the movie memorabilia. The food is good and atmosphere nice.
