Hi Sally, stayed there in April 2006 and will be there again in 8 days time. There was a guard at the front of the hotel checking under all vehicles with a mirror and I guess he woud have checked any strangers coming into the hotel but as we were known to the staff we were never checked and boy we did have a lot of shopping bags at times. The rooms had recently been refurbished and were lovely. The staff gorgeous and the breakfasts very nice. Good pool always clean. I think the Bali Rani is really good value for money and have already booked again for April.
